Rich Brotemarkle, Piano and Voice RRich Brotemarkle, Piano and Voice Rich began his career at the tender age of 4 when he would come home from Sunday School and play all the little Sunday School songs by ear on his electric organ. By age 7, he started piano lessons and studied for the next 7 years with various teachers from the Flint area. In high school he studied organ with the famed, late Billie Guyer, staff organist at The Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint. He also studied voice with the late Vivian Tripp Wheeland. In college he studied organ and voice at the Arlington Baptist College, Arlington, TX. Rich has performed in many concerts in the Flint area, and has performed vocally as a character in the musical "Carousel". Rich has taught many students over 40 years and many of them have gone on to be some of the finest church musicians in this area. Rich is currently Music Director at First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, where he also teaches students from the church one day a week. |
